writing & illustration
I was born in India
and grew up in six different cities all across
the country. I’ve since lived in the United States and Israel;
I currently reside in Germany.
I have a Master’s degree in International Relations
from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel
School of International Studies.
While in graduate school, I also
enrolled in art and creative writing courses. I drew my first comic
(albeit entirely plagiarised) at the age of six and wrote
my first original story not long after that.
Art and writing has played an essential role in my life
even as I was stumbling through
my undergraduate degree in Engineering and
questioning my life choices.
As a vocal feminist, I write about the importance
of gender equality, as well as personal essays and pieces
on travel and culture. As an artist, I focus on a range of subjects
– people, places, food, objects –
and primarily work with traditional mediums such as
watercolour, gouache, pen & ink, pencil, charcoal and pastel.
I also frequently utilize photography
to express myself.
